The spirit has moved me to share today! While writing a book I often keep a folder of images, words, & assorted paraphernalia that inspire me & guide my process. Do any of you do this?

If there’s a moment in a movie or TV show I’m watching that feels resonant with what I’m circling in my book, I yell “A-HA!” & then capture it for safe-keeping. Here are three screenshots:

Love that thought about purpose being arrived at through redirection — it reminds me of this I saved from Alphabetical Diaries by Sheila Heti: 'It is good to feel all sorts of things, even the bad things that scare you, because they, too, push you in the directions of your convictions.'
AH! Someone else who shares this quirky but awesome trait! I have always done this for my books as well and it has ALWAYS served me well during the creation phase. I love seeing how you've captured yours. Thanks for sharing so vulnerably, too!
