#25: On making hope/endurance come alive
thank you so much, this buoys me. sending love.
I appreciate the centering of the wisdom of those around you. How often you highlight your beloveds, right by your side, how noticing you love. I am at your shoulder, at your side, from a ways away, in Kalamazoo, where Kaveh Akbar read poems just a few months ago alongside Hala Alyan for our annual festival. Months later, I feel you here, standing outside our representative's office, our little group, many moved by these poets, standing here for what's right. We are trusting in the seeds, for ceasefire, for freedom. After all, the seeds don't grow if you keep digging them up to check on them. We must trust as we were entrusted.
Your words are a balm, always. Thank you.
