I am at your shoulder, at your side, from a ways away, in Kalamazoo, where Kaveh Akbar read poems just a few months ago alongside Hala Alyan for our annual festival. Months later, I feel you here, standing outside our representative's office, our little group, many moved by these poets, standing here for what's right. We are trusting in the seeds, for ceasefire, for freedom. After all, the seeds don't grow if you keep digging them up to check on them. We must trust as we were entrusted.
